Question 1

What is enterprise service management?

Accepted Answer

It's service management for the whole organisation, not just IT. HR, finance, facilities, legal, procurement and other teams get the same portal, catalogue, workflows, SLAs and AI that IT uses, on one platform, so employees ask in one place and every team works from a proper record instead of an inbox.

Question 2

Which departments should go first?

Accepted Answer

The ones with the most email and the most repeat requests, usually HR, facilities or finance once IT is live. We find them in discovery, launch one, prove it works, then add the next on the same platform.

Question 3

Can each department keep its own process and privacy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each department gets its own catalogue, forms, workflows, SLAs and reports, and its requests are visible only to the people who should see them. HR and legal cases stay confidential even though they share a platform with IT.

Question 4

Can one request involve several departments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Requests like supplier onboarding or an office move run as one parent case with a task for each department. Teams work in parallel where they can, approvals happen in Teams or Slack, and the requester sees one status.

Question 5

How does AI help across departments?

Accepted Answer

AI answers policy and how-to questions for every department from approved knowledge, routes requests to the right team, fills in forms from a conversation and handles simple requests end to end, with a person approving anything sensitive.

Question 6

Which platforms do you implement for ESM?

Accepted Answer

SysAid, Serviceware, Freshworks (Freshservice for Business Teams), Halo and ServiceNow. In Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant for IT Service Management Platforms, ServiceNow and Freshworks were named Leaders, Halo a Challenger and SysAid a Niche Player.

Question 7

How is ESM different from HR service delivery?

Accepted Answer

HR service delivery is specialised for HR: confidential cases, letters, onboarding and HR systems. ESM covers every department on one platform. Many organisations start with HR as their first ESM department, and we cover it in depth on our HR service delivery page.

Question 8

Do we need a separate tool for each department?

Accepted Answer

No. That's the point of ESM. One platform, one front door and one record, with each department configured for its own work. Licensing differs by platform, and we explain the options in discovery.

Question 9

What does an ESM implementation cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the number of departments, the services in each catalogue, the cross-team workflows, the systems to connect and the AI you want. We scope these in discovery and give you a clear proposal with scope, milestones and cost before any work starts.

Question 10

Which regions do you serve, and where is data hosted?

Accepted Answer

We work with clients across the GCC, Europe, the UK, Australia and the USA, on site or remotely, with build and support from our delivery centre in India. Hosting depends on the platform: Serviceware hosts in the EU or on-premise; SysAid in the US, the EU and Australia; Freshservice in the US, the EEA, the UAE, India and Australia; HaloITSM on AWS in the UK, the US, Germany, Canada, South Africa and Australia, or on-premise; and ServiceNow offers regional and sovereign options.
